Graduates of educational institutions in Moldova will have the opportunity to obtain a free and organized electronic signature as part of a campaign launched by the Ministry of Education and Research. Visits will be organized in over 300 high schools and 49 colleges. Young people will be explained how to use digital signatures. They will also be trained on online safety. The Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, announced this at a press conference, IPN reports.
By the beginning of May, the ministry aims to reach the figure of almost 20 thousand young people who will have the electronic signature, which will allow them to authenticate in the eadmitere.gov.md system.
"Because we care very much about data accuracy and we want to promote electronic signature, respectively, in 2025 it will be necessary to have electronic signature to use this information system. Last year it was possible to use e-mail or telephone in principle. This year we come with the introduction of this additional requirement for graduates - the electronic signature. But together with our partners we are also supporting them and we are launching this campaign today", said the Minister of Education and Research.
Dan Perciun noted that, unlike last year, in 2025 for both bachelor's and master's programs there will be the possibility of online submission of applications for admission through the eadmitere.gov.md system.
The minister said that those who for some reasons will not be present at educational institutions during the campaign period or will not find the time to go and get their electronic signature, will still have the possibility to physically come to the university, where an operator will help them to process the admission file.
Starting this year, authentication on the eadmitere.gov.md, platform, launched by the MEC last year, will be possible only through the government platform MPass and can be done by using the electronic signature, which every candidate for higher education in the Republic of Moldova must have.
A schedule of visits will be established starting February. All high schools and colleges will be notified. To be offered the electronic signature, graduates will only need to present their ID card.
Obtaining a mobile electronic signature is possible in any Orange or Moldcell shop Electronic signatures, including mobile ones, have the same value and legal force as handwritten signatures.
