Four people were detained on suspicion of being part of a group specialized in smuggling anabolic drugs. The drugs were being smuggled into Moldova, yet the final destination was the European Union.

Law enforcement officers simultaneously searched 12 addresses in Chisinau, including homes, warehouses and cars belonging to the suspects. The General Prosecutor's Office press release says that officers of the law found a large amount of anabolic steroids, tin foil, medical equipment and drug producing user manuals.

The criminal case is managed by prosecutors, who will provide additional information upon completion.
