The schools in the villages Rascaieti, Slobozia, Carahasani and Viisoara of Stefan Voda district received emergency generators for not stopping work. The institutions remained without electricity following the formation of hoard frost on power lines, IPN reports.

On its official website, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service informs that 26 electricity poles were downed in a field near Grigorievca, Causeni. On January 23, the poles were restored and the end-users were to be reconnected to the power supply.

Sixteen settlements in Stefan Voda, Causeni and Ialoveni districts are now not supplied with electricity. A number of 85 emergency teams of heat suppliers work to restore the supply of power.
