Former Liberal leader from Calarasi: I was not recruited by Filat's party
Sergiu Cojocaru, the former leader of the Calarasi branch of the Liberal Party, rejects as groundless the accusations of political mercenariness made bis former party boss Mihai Ghimpu. According to Ghimpu, Sergiu Cojocaru would have urged the presidents of other district subsidiaries of the Liberal Party (PL) to join the PLDM instead of monthly retribution. The value of the retribution would depend on the efficiency of the branch detached from the PL.
“I am cross that Mr. Ghimpu said I would have been recruited by Mr. Filat's party, against money,” Sergiu Cojocaru told a news conference Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Sergiu Cojocaru calls aberrant the Mihai Ghimpu's accusations, and thinks the latter one would have been misinformed. “You will find no one to confirm I would have called them to go to Filat. It's absurd to destroy a nice thing having created it with your own hands,” Sergiu Cojocaru said.
Sergiu Cojocaru thinks it's time to withdraw from politics for NGOs.
Sergiu Cojocaru was dismissed on November 29 from the PL. The reason invoked by the leaders of the party was his poor party activity displayed.
