A vegetation fire broke out near the bus station in Balti. Three fire-fighting crews from the north of the country have intervened and are fighting the blaze. The information was confirmed for IPN by Liliana Pușcașu, press officer at IGSU.

According to the source, the reeds in the area are burning, the fire is covering a large area.

A day ago, more than 180 hectares of land were destroyed after vegetation fires in several districts. Firefighters intervened in 71 situations to liquidate the burning fires, of which 59 were in dry vegetation, 12 - in garbage dumps.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations warns the population of the major risks involved in such fires and urges people to observe the rules of prevention.
