The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova firmly condemns the new nuclear test announced by the North-Korean authorities today, September 9, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry says the continuation of nuclear tests by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea represents a violation of the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council concerning the weapons of mass destruction nonproliferation regime and defies the international community’s repeated calls to abandon the programs to develop its nuclear military capacities.
The Republic of Moldova shares the international community’s profound concern about these actions that have a destabilizing effect on the security situation in the Korean peninsula and the region and calls on the authorities in Pyongyang to give up the nuclear armament policy and to become involved in a credible political dialogue with the international community.
