The social-political movement “For Nation and Country” announces it self-dissolves and joins the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM), Info-Prim Neo reports. Its president, Tudor Deliu, told a news conference on Monday, March 17, the formation could not stay on the political arena only for the sake of making up part from the club of Moldovan political parties. That is why, its members decided to join the PLDM. According to a declaration of the movement, the PLDM is the only organization on the center-right segment with a clear message and real changes to legally put down the Communist regime. The dissolution decision is to be taken at the movement’s congress, then they will submit the necessary documents to the Justice Ministry, in order to lose the status of a legal entity. A month ago, the Movement “For Nation and Country” accused the PLDM of partisanship with the Communists Party. Then, its leaders described as populist the Lib-Dems’ initiative to start a nation-wide referendum to modify the Constitution so as to allow the people to elect its President. Asked to comment blame, Tudor Deliu has said that criticism was a challenge to learn other parties’ stance as to the move. The social-political movement “For Nation and Country” was registered on 17 July 2007 – as a center-right-wing organization with social-liberal doctrine. Its first president was Nicolae Utica.
