Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa will be excluded from the National Football Davison because they refused to play a match of the ordinary stage of the national championship against Sheriff Tiraspol on May 3. It is for the second time this season that the team refuses to play. Under the regulations, the club will be relegated to Division B, IPN reports.
Iskra-Stal will be punished with a 0-3 technical defeat and a new fine. The team trained by Veaceslav Rusnac resorted to boycott because they haven’t been paid salaries for several months. In 2011, Iskra-Stal won Moldova’s Cup, while during the last seasons it competed in the European Cups.
Meanwhile, the fight for the second place in the National Division goes on. FC Tiraspol scored a new victory, 1-0, against Rapid Ghidighici away. The decisive goal was marked by Bulgarian player Georgi Karaneychev.
