The State Tax Service announced the results of the surprise inspections at florists on Valentine's Day. Nineteen tax inspections were carried out on February 13 and 14, using the method of swift checks at flower traders on the territory of the country. There were identified nine cases of violation of the legislation.
Most of the documented illegalities were related to the non-issuance of sales slips in the case of cash payments. In five cases, the documents of origin of the goods were missing. As a result, fines totaling about 65,000 lei were imposed, IPN reports.
Nine contravention reports were drawn up for violating the rules of operation of cash registers, with fines of about 11,000 lei being imposed.
Also, the activities were monitored through the tax posts set up at seven flower merchants, both in Chisinau and Balti. The goal was not to penalize taxpayers, but to monitor their activities so as to make sure that they issued sales slips when payments were made in cash, said the State Tax Service.
