PCRM parliamentarians and members, alongside Communist youth and veterans, laid flowers at Lenin’s statue to mark the 95th anniversary of the Revolution of 1917. The speakers criticized the situation in Moldova and the government, saying that the people’s life worsened and the government only promoted its own narrow interests. Communist leader Vladimir Voronin said that Socialism was the best road for society’s development in all the countries in the world. “Those who claim that Socialism was a mistake, say so to confuse and disorient the people. The greatest achievement of the Soviet power was that all people were equal.” The PCRM head showered praise on Socialism and criticism on the governing alliance. According to him, the Alliance for European Integration does its best to inhibit society by closing TV channels that express a different position and by banning the Communist symbols, all this on the background of people living in sheer poverty, who get indebted because they have no food on the table. Those who came to lay flowers at Lenin’s monument said that the revolution of 95 years ago had opened the road towards prosperity and offered the right to labor and education. “November 7 is day when each citizen was done justice. The truth is that the so-called alliance that governs now is a criminal structure that spit on justice. The Alliance will delete the name of Moldovan history. PCRM took the responsibility to revamp the economy and ameliorate social imbalances. Victory for PCRM!”, said Yevgeny Chiloi, PCRM secretary in Chisinau's Botanica district. Today marks 95 years since the event known as the “October Revolution” or the “Bolshevik Revolution”, the coup d’état that helped the Bolsheviks come into power in Russia.
