Flights between Moldova and Russia will not be interrupted despite bans imposed by Ukraine and Russia

The flights between Moldova and Russia will not be affected by the reciprocal bans imposed by Ukraine and Russia. Thus, the airlines that operate regular flights from Chisinau to destinations in Russia will continue to work as usual, the Civil Aeronautic Authority of Moldova said. The reciprocal bans imposed by the two countries on military aircraft and conflict areas come into force on October 25, IPN reports.

The bans were imposed by both of the states. According to the information provided by the Ukrainian Aviation Authority, the prohibitions will be valid until the bans imposed by Russia on Ukrainian airlines are suspended.

The air space of Ukraine will be used in the same conditions as now. The mutual bans apply only to the military aircraft and conflict areas.

Also, the Russian airlines that operate the Moscow – Chisinau flight provide the flights in accordance with the flying plans approved by EUROCONTROL.

The deviation of flights is strictly within the competence of the Aviation Authorities of Ukraine and Russia, which also coordinate the lifting of the bilateral bans.
