Flashmob meeting for lighting Chisinau streets
Members of the youth organization of the Democratic Party (PDM) went to one of the darkest streets of Chisinau with lit candles on Wednesday evening in order to warn the local public administration to the necessity of lighting the streets and quarters of Chisinau.
According to a communiqué from the party, the organizers of the flashmob meeting themed “It’s time for a lit city” built ways from lit candles in the badly lit streets of the capital city.
Taking part in the event, Valentina Buliga, the PDM’s candidate for mayor general of Chisinau, said a large part of the quarters remain in the darkness. “Darkness is the friend of thieves and robbers. Thus, the people do not feel safe when they return home,” said the Democrats’ candidate.
The municipal administration should not economize on the lighting system, said Valentina Buliga. She pledged that the PDM will light all the streets and quarters in Chisinau so that the residents feel safe in this city.
Valentina Buliga said this is one of the party’s top ten priorities for Chisinau, which are described in her electoral program “Chisinau – City of Safety for People”, it is said in the communiqué.
