Five people seriously hurt in head-on crash

Five people were hospitalized on Wednesday with serious injuries after the cars they
were traveling in collided frontally at presumably high speeds.
Uliana Catan, spokesperson for the Traffic Police Department, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred today at around 10:00 AM, at the entrance to Cojusna village, several kilometers from Chisinau.
The crash involved a BMW and a Volkswagen car. According to preliminary police accounts, the BMW's driver caused the accident after driving into the wrong side of the road at a high speed.
Sources at the district hospital confirmed that 5 men were hospitalized having suffered multiple injuries. One of them has been transferred in a critical condition to the intensive care unit.
