Five crimes remained undiscovered this year
Five of the 145 crimes committed this year are still undiscovered. But the circumstances do not depend on the human factor or the police work, Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu told a news conference on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“2011 was marked both by successes and failures, which represent ‘obligations’ towards society. As to the robberies committed in 2011, only eight of the total 100 remained undiscovered, but will be discovered in the near future,” said Alexei Roibu.
The minister stressed that he is satisfied with the work done by the employees of the Ministry of the Interior. “I’m sure that these offenses will be discovered as the relevant bodies have the necessary sense of responsibility,” said Alexei Roibu.
Speaking about the reform of the Ministry of the Interior, the minister said that 2012 will be a year of the institutional restructuring of the Ministry, based on the acts and laws adopted by the Government and Parliament. “We know well what we should do, but it is important that the Ministry of the Interior be included in the plan of action for reorganizing the judiciary system that was approved by the executive,” said Alexei Roibu.
He also said that there are definite terms and they do not lag behind in implementing the reform of the Ministry of the Interior.
