The firewood available for sale will not grow more expensive this year and will be sold at the same prices as last year, chiefs of the state-run enterprises managed by the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” assured, being quoted in a press release.

An order made by the Agency provides that the available supply of firewood accumulated as a result of technical and forestry works in the managed areas will be sold primarily to the population, based on centralized orders placed by the local public authorities or by direct sales. The firewood will also be sold to mayor’s offices, schools, kindergartens and social facilities. At request, it will be sold to managers of the wood stock.

“Moldsilva” furnished all the district authorities with information about the methods of cooperation in the process of supplying the population with firewood. The directors of the subordinate forest entities will organize meetings with the participation of communities and local authorities so as to agree the measures needed to supply those who need with firewood in the required quantities, depending on the available supply, runs the press release that is quoted by IPN.
