The fire in Columna Street has been localized but not extinguished. After 4 hours of intervention, the IGSU was changed to continue the liquidation mission. The reserve crews from the entire garrison of the Chisinau municipality were raised on alert, IPN reports.
According to IGSU, preliminary estimates show that an area of about 3500-4000 square meters was destroyed.
Firefighters are currently working to wash down and dismantle the building affected by the fire.
No casualties were reported as a result of the fire and more than 100 rescuers and firefighters with 24 technical units battled the flames to localize the blaze.
The fire may not get spread, but firefighters are working for its final liquidation.
