Participants and persons related to the participants in World War II will receive a lump sum payment in financial assistance on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory against fascism. The necessary sum of 16.8 million lei will be provided from the state budget and will be distributed through the local population support funds, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the participants in World War II (persons with disabilities) will receive 5,000 lei in assistance, while dead participants’ husbands and wives who survived will collect 4,000 lei.

A total of 3,500 persons will receive such financial assistance.
