Movies, documentaries and programs about persons with disabilities will be presented within the fourth international festival “Films without Barriers” on November 29. The festival is held once in two years. The screenings will take place at the Gaudeamus Movie Theater in Chisinau, between 10.00 and 17.30. Entrance is free of charge, IPN reports.
Elena Ratoi, PR coordinator of the Association “Motivatie”, which organizes the event in Chisinau, said that films made in Moldova will be shown in the festival for the first time. Only productions awarded at the international festival “Films without Barriers”, which is organized by the Moscow public association “Perspective”, were screened until now.
According to Elena Ratoi, the festival’s goal is to represent the daily life of the persons with disabilities and the obstacles they face. On the other hand, there are also presented positive stories with the aim of motivating the disabled young people to be more active and to confidently live their lives.
The films that will be presented in the festival this year were made in Russia, France, the U.S., the UK, and Moldova.
