Dumitru Diacov is giving the leadership of the Democratic parliamentary group back to the party’s president Pavel Filip. Diacov announced this at today’s Parliament meeting, without giving a detailed rationale.
On this occasion, Diacov, who will serve as deputy leader instead, had a message for the governing coalition: “prepare for a constructive opposition.”
Dumitru Diacov was elected leader of the 29-strong Democratic group in July.
