Filat not concerned about PDM-PL talks, but doesn't exclude changing negotiation tactics himself
Liberal Democrat Vlad Filat sees no problem in the fact that the PDM and the PL on Saturday held bipartisan talks on potential power-sharing, excluding the PLDM. “Everyone knows about the peculiar relationship between this two parties, between their leaders. Perhaps they needed to coordinate their positions”, the Lib-Dem leader told reporters ahead of tripartite negotiations on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I only hope that we don't get in a position to talk three to six, but three to three to three. I hope there will be no need for us to change our approach and tactics”, said Vlad Filat.
Speaking about office arrangements, the Lib-Dem leader said there a number of proposals, which will be all considered, but the arrangements must be based on the outcome of the elections.
When asked about why negotiations were taking so long, Vlad Filat said that, in fact, things were proceeding naturally, and that priorities and the reform agenda must be discussed first.
The tripartite meeting today was supposed to take place in the absence of Democratic Party leader Marian Lupu, who announced he had to fly to Germany for a private visit. Vlad Filat avoided to comment on the absence, but urged the Democratic Party to make a clear decision which course to take, either a center-right or center-left coalition.
