Fewer polling places will be established abroad
The Moldovans abroad will be able to cast their ballots in the November 28 elections at 75 polling places. Thirty-five of them will be set up at embassies, while the rest in other places. The Central Election Commission approved the registration of these polling places at the Government's request, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The highest number of polling places will be established in Italy – 16. In the United States, there will be eight such stations, in Romania – seven, in Portugal and Russia – by four, in Spain, Ukraine, and France – by three, in Canada, Greece, Germany, and Turkey – by two, in the UK, Ireland, Israel, Cyprus, Belarus, Austria, Bulgaria, Switzerland, China, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, and Hungary – by one.
A number of 78 polling places were opened abroad for the September 5 constitutional referendum.
