In the last years EU made a considerable expansion, and at present some difficulties appear, including on the behalf of the public opinion, which tries to stall the future integration. This declaration belongs to Eneko Landaburu, Director General for Foreign Affairs of the European Commission when asked about the conditions on joining to EU. The latest EU development shows that a new integration wave is improbable, the official said, mentioning at the same time that Moldova still has a chance. Regarding the visa regime facilitations for Moldovan citizens, the European official declared that it is impossible to start this process without some beforehand conditions. At present a dialogue is opened, meeting with experts take place, however it is a long term process, Landaburu said. At the same time he mentioned that the inauguration of a joint office for Schengen visa issuance will favor in a way Moldovan citizens. Eneko Landaburu paid an official visit to Moldova on July 13-14, within which he met with officials from Chisinau and participated in the inauguration of the new office of the EU Border Assistance Mission.
