The one-time payment of 3,300 lei granted to families with children with disabilities could be picked up at post offices in the country as from December 10. In order to benefit from the one-off payment, the parent or legal representative of the child, who receives the social allowance set and paid by the National House of Social Insurance, will need to present the identity card at the post office, IPN reports.

The payment is part of the new support package announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and will reach 11,400 Moldovan families with disabled children. There is no need for the parents to go to the National House of Social Insurance to submit an application or to present supporting documents. The lump sum will be provided automatically.

In December 2023, families with children with disabilities also benefited from a one-time payment from the Government of the Republic of Moldova and development partners.
