Over 120 children are kept in poor conditions, in a camp which functions illegally in Vadul lui Voda town. The camp, opened by an abroad religious organization, is working illegally for the 3rd year already, and this summer, it has restarted its activity without having the authorization from the Municipal Preventive Medicine Center (CMP). The CMP head Iurie Panzaru announced on Monday, on the mayoralty’s working meeting that for the moment CMP doctors did not manage to stop the activity of the camp, because of the stance of the representatives of the Christian mission, who do not allow the access on its territory. A special commission, including the mayor of Vadul lui Voda town, is to arrive at the camp to consider its closing. According to him, the conditions in the camp are “primitive” as regards cooking and keeping the food supplies. The water supply and sewerage systems are missing, and the kitchen has no refrigerator, as requirements oblige. At the same time, they are using doubtful goods for feeding the children. According to the CMP head, the age of children resting in the camp is of 4, the lowest. Educators are coming to work with their entire family, including with 7-8 children. Doctors fear of infection focus, due to unfavorable sanitary-epidemiological conditions.
