Ex-deputy SIS director to head anticorruption Center
Sergiu Burduja, the freshly discharged deputy director of the Service for Information and Security (SIS), has been appointed on Wednesday by Government ordinance as director of the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCCEC), Info-Prim Neo reports.
Burduja was dismissed from his previous office, where he had served since July 2006, earlier on Wednesday by presidential decree. The post of CCCEC director fell vacant after Sergiu Puscuta tendered his resignation on November 19.
In another ordinance, the Government accepted the resignation presented by Deputy Interiors Minister Andrei Pogurschi.
The Government also approved three draft presidential decrees whereby Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Chistruga is appointed as Permanent Representative of Moldova to the Council of Europe. Andrei Negruta is recalled from this post and named Ambassador to Russia instead.
