The €20 million offered by the European Union for the Transnistrian region has been fully spent. Energocom announces that some 26.5 million cubic meters of gas were procured and delivered to the Left Bank from February 1 to 10, IPN reports.
The deliveries were carried out in accordance with the requests of Tiraspoltransgaz and the order of the Commission for Exceptional Situations.
According to Energocom, the purchase price amounted to around 57 euro per MWh (or almost 600 euro/1,000 m3). To this price are added regulatory fees, logistical and transportation costs, which in some cases can reach 25% of the purchase cost.
The purchase transactions were carried out on the Romanian and Bulgarian exchanges.
