The European Initiative Program of Soros Foundation Moldova launched Tuesday November 7 at a press conference the report entitled “From Implementation of Moldova-EU Action Plan (MEUAP) – To Policy Planning”. The European Initiative Program of Soros Foundation Moldova has created, in compliance with its objectives to promote the democratization and values of a transparent society, the “Euro forum” that is a flexible framework for monitoring, consultation and assessment. The first project of the “Euro forum” is the named report that bases itself on the individual reports of several national experts. The report tackle such matters as the Transnistrian dispute, reform of public administration, trade law and regulatory reform, independence of justice, penitentiary system, etc. The European Initiative Program’s director Iulian Fruntasu stated that the report has the objective to monitor the way the MEUAP was implemented by the Moldovan authorities. Fruntasu has also said that the experts who presented individual reports on a certain domain were selected on a contest basis. The list is completed by experts in diverse domains as ecologist Vladimir Garaba or political analyst expert Oazu Nantoi.
