European commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom will pay a working visit to Chisinau on January 24 in connection with the granting to Moldova of the EU-Moldova Plan of Action for the Liberalization of the Visa Regime. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Prime Minister designate’s spokesman Igor Volnitski said that details about the European official’s program of the visit will be provided shortly. Last week, Premier designate Vlad Filat told the press that the Government of Moldova will receive the EU-Moldova Plan of Action by January 14. The talks on the liberalization of the visa regime were opened in 2010.The Plan of Action for the Liberalization of the Visa Regime was approved by the European Commission on December 16.
