The European Commission has offered €75 million in budget support to Moldova to help mitigate the energy crisis. This was announced today via Twitter by Katarina Mathernova, the Commission’s Deputy Director General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
“@EU_Commission continues supporting Moldova in the difficult energy situation, raising gas prices for the most vulnerable and need to improve energy efficiency”, the EU official wrote.
On August 1, received another €50 million from the European Union, this being the first installment of a €150 macro-financial assistance package (€120M preferential loans, €30M grants).
