EU ambassadors launch video encouraging Moldovans to get vaccinated

The EU envoy and the ambassadors of the EU member states in Moldova have joined efforts in a video message to encourage Moldovans to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and follow pandemic rules.

Given the high number of COVID-19 cases in the country, a common effort is essential to improve vaccination rates, which could save lives and ease the burden on the health system, Team Europe said in a press release.

“We, as Team Europe, will continue our support provided to the citizens of this country and its health system in the fight against the COVID-19. The pandemic is not over: we must remain vigilant and I call on everyone to get vaccinated. Together we can beat the pandemic: we remain #StrongerTogether!”, said Jānis Mažeiks, EU Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.

The message of the EU Ambassador was supported by other 16 Ambassadors residents in Chisinau and the Head of European Investment Bank. The ambassadors are encouraging people to continue to be vigilant and respect prevention measures: wear masks, keep social distance and get vaccinated.
