eSocial, "single window" for social services provided to citizens

The Republic of Moldova will create the integrated information system eSocial, designed as a "single window" solution for the integrated management of social services provided to citizens. The concept involves centralizing all information and services in a single accessible platform, IPN reports.

The draft decision prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection states that the new system will allow for more effective monitoring and evaluation of social programs and will facilitate decision-making based on up-to-date and accurate data. One of the main objectives of eSocial is the full digitalization of case management and other work processes in the field of social assistance. The system will phase out paper forms and replace them with an electronic system that will allow real-time case management and improve transparency and trust in the system.

eSocial will allow the transfer of case files between case managers in different administrative-territorial units and the obtaining of information from other sectors (health, education, public order, justice) through the interoperability platform (MConnect). eSocial facilitates the management of individual assistance plans, social support measures, integration into work and other social protection measures, thus ensuring integrated social assistance.

The draft decision is to be approved by the Government.
