Germany celebrated 25 years of the reunification on October 3. On this occasion, the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau invited young people from Moldova to present the reunification of Germany in a creative way, in the form of a puzzle. The puzzle was inaugurated at the National Museum of History, IPN reports.
Ambassador Ulrike Knotz thanked in the Romanian language the partners for their commitment and creativity and the National Museum of History for its hospitality, saying she does not think there is another more suitable place in Chisinau for presenting the puzzle to the general public. The diplomat spoke about the necessity of people’s unity, saying the creation of a puzzle-Moldova could be topical too.
The puzzle pieces were designed by 28 project partners in Moldova. The large-scale “Puzzle-Germany” emphasizes the fact that the German unity is a historical community achievement and a joint effort of the reunified states.
Germany had been divided during over 40 years, until its reunification on October 3, 1990.
