The MPs will come together for an extraordinary session on Wednesday and Thursday to consider urgent amendments to legal provisions referring to corruption and crime. The request to hold the sittings was made by the Parliament's Standing Bureau, IPN reports.
The Bureau refers to the amendment of Law No. 351 on combating organized crime. The request to convene the session was signed by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
"The request is argued by the need to speed up the adoption of normative documents for the establishment of a unitary normative framework, based on common principles applicable to the process of preventing and combating organized crime, strengthening the institutional architecture of the bodies responsible for combating corruption and organized crime."
