Trade between Romania and Moldova in the first three quarters of 2015 was over US$1.039 billion. Exports came to US$644 million, while imports to US$395 million, the balance being of US$249 million in Romania’s favor. Compared with the first three quarters of last year, the imports of products from Moldova rose by 7.51%, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Embassy of Romania.
Transnistrian region’s export to Romania in the first ten months of this year totaled US$82 million, being twice larger than the exports to Ukraine and Russia.
On September 30, Moldova ranked fourth among Romania’ export partners from the non-EU member states and eighth among its import partners.
There were 4,575 joint stock companies that included Moldovan capital in Romania in the first three quarters of this year. These had a capital of US$47.04 million.
