Electronic reporting system launched at National Bureau of Statistics

The National Bureau of Statistics, in concert with the secretariat of the Premier’s Economic Council, on November 11 launched an electronic reporting system. According to a communiqué of the Council, the submission of statistical reports in electronic format brings benefits to economic entities as the costs and time used for statistical reporting are reduced, IPN reports.

At the National Bureau of Statistics, this initiative will reduce the time needed for processing statistical reports and will increase the quality of the statistical data collected. Electronic reporting will significantly simplify the reporting procedure and will reduce the administrative burden and bureaucracy, improving thus the work of the business sector of Moldova and reducing the risk of corruption.

The electronic statistical reporting service is available on www.raportare.md, where the economic entities can also submit reports in electronic format to the National Health Insurance Company and the National House of Social Insurance. Also, since 2008, the State Main Tax Inspectorate has accepted electronic tax returns, while the Customs Service has recently launched the electronic statement on export service.
