Electricity charges in Moldova up

The National Agency for Energy Regulation approved higher electricity charges on Friday. The new charges do not include VAT, IPN reports.

Thus, 4.10 lei/kWh is the new charge for the electricity delivered by Premier Energy, lower than the 5.13 lei charge requested by the distributor.

Meanwhile, the inhabitants in northern Moldova will pay 4.68 lei/kWh for the electricity delivered by FEE Nord, even if the supplier asked for a smaller increase, to 4.53 lei.

Until now, the consumers served by Premier Energy paid 2.34 lei, while the distributor in northern Moldova charged a price of 2.84 lei.
