The electoral period for the presidential election and the national constitutional referendum of October 20 begins today, August 1, IPN reports.
Thus, from August 1 until the day when the election results will be confirmed by the competent bodies, media service providers, broadcasters and distributors of advertising are entitled to broadcast only messages of public interest approved by the Central Election Commission.
At the same time, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code, by August 8, advertising broadcasters that own or manage fixed or mobile advertising devices are obliged to submit to the Central Election Commission the declaration of intent and information about the conditions for granting advertising space and other related services, indicating the average prices for advertising spaces applied in the last six months.
The documents for the registration of electoral blocs for the purpose of designating candidates for the election to the office of President of the Republic of Moldova will be accepted between July 22 and August 25. The documents for the registration of electoral blocs for the national constitutional referendum can be submitted by political parties to the Commission’s headquarters from July 22 to September 14.
On August 21-31, the documents for the registration of initiative groups for supporting candidates for the office of President of the Republic of Moldova will be accepted, while on August 21-September 20, the documents for the registration as a participant in the referendum can be submitted.
