The costs for organizing new mayoral elections in Ucrainca village of Causeni district were assessed at almost 19,000 lei, secretary of the Central Election Commission Andrei Volentir has told IPN. The elections will take place on November 10.

The term in office of the mayor of Ucrainca Vladimir Iurco ended before time as he tendered his resignation. He was elected mayor in the local elections of 2011, in which he ran as an independent.

As many as 1,300 villagers with the right to vote are expected to take part in the elections.
