Grigore Cobzac is the only independent candidate running in the new parliamentary elections in single-member constituency No. 38 Hâncești. He is under No. 6 on the ballot. He is an engineer-constructor by profession and is the vice director of SRL “Digricom”.
In the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, Grigore Cobzac was the candidate for MP of the ACUM Bloc in Hâncești constituency. He then ranked second, being beaten by the Democrats’ candidate Alexandru Botnari.
In 2015-2018, Grigore Cobzac served as a Member of Parliament as a representative of the Liberal Democratic Party. He also served as an MP in the previous legislature, in 2010–2011, but renounced the seat when he was chosen head of Hâncești district, holding this post until 2015.
Before becoming an MP, Grigore Cobzac managed a number of state-owned enterprises and own repair and building companies.
For the period between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019, the candidate declared revenues of over 162,000 lei earned as MP salary and from SRL “Digricom”. He also declared his wife’s pensions totaling over 67,000 lei and over 2,000 lei rental for a leased out piece of farmland.
Crigore Cobzac owns three pieces of farmland and a building lot to the total value of over 83,000 lei, a house estimated at over 718,000 lei, a garage and a building worth 83,000 lei. Together with his wife, he owns holdings in the companies “Digricom” and “Renerg”.
The candidate was born in Cărpineni village of Hâncești district in 1959. He is married and has a child.

The Central Election Commission set new parliamentary elections in Hâncești for March 15 after Democratic MP Alexandru Botnari renounced the seat of MP won in this constituency in favor of the post of mayor of Hâncești municipality that he secured in the November 3 mayoral runoffs.
