The presidential election validation threshold has been reached. About 942,000 voters or 33.3% of the eligible voters marked their ballots by 4pm, IPN reports.

The persons aged between 56 and 70 were the most active ones, with a rate of 36.3%. Those aged between 18 and 25 ensured a voter turnout of only 7.1%, which is 67,000 voters.

The women remain more active than the men, with the ratio being 53.51%:46.49%.

The voter turnout rates are also high in Ocnița, Dondușeni, Râșcani, Fălești, Șoldănești, Telenești, Rezina, Orhei, and Criuleni.

The polling stations are open until 9pm. In 2016, the electoral threshold was reached after 2pm.
