With 90.88% of the ballots counted, the election leaders for Mayor General of Chisinau remained the same: the candidate of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Veaceslav Iordan and the candidate of the Liberal Party (PL) Dorin Chirtoaca, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the results released by the Central Election Commission at 10.30, after processing 186,853 (90.88%) of the ballot papers, Veaceslav Iordan obtained 28.57% and Dorin Chirtoaca 24.61% of the vote. The candidate of the “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Party (AMN) Leonid Bujor polled 9.23% of the vote and the candidate of the Democrat Party of Moldova (PDM) Vladimir Filat obtained 8.19% of the vote. They are followed by the candidate of the Social Democracy Party (PDS) Dumitru Braghis with 7.98%, the candidate of the Christian Democrat People’s Party (PPCD) Alexandru Corduneanu with 5.2%. Eduard Musuc of the Social Democrat Party (PSD) won 3.09%, Valentuin Crylov of the Electoral Bloc Patria-Rodina-Ravnopravie (BE PRR) 3%, Ion Mereuta of the Humanist Party (PU) 2.91%, Vitalia Pavlicenco of the National Liberal Party (PNL) – 1.9%, Svetlana Myslitski of the Popular Republican Party (PPR) – 1.34%, Petru Bodarev – 1.31%. The candidate of the Social Liberal Party (PSL) Corneliu Ciurea garnered 0.66%, Zinovia Zorin of the Conservative Party – 0.65%, Ludmila Bolboceanu of the European Party – 0.51%, Ilie Bujenita of the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” (PEAV) – 0.38%, Mihai Petrache of the Centrist Union (UC) – 0.34%, and Valentina Tapis of the Party of Law and Justice – 0.28%. After counting 90.88% of the votes, the candidates for councillors in the Chisinau Municipal Council polled as follows: PCRM 27.37%, PL – 18.82%, AMN – 11.69%, PDM – 6.67%, PPCD – 6.43%, PDS – 5.26%, BE PRR – 3.64%, PU – 3.55%, PSD – 3.43%, PNL – 2.6%, PSL – 1.39% and PPR – 1.01%, the European Party – 0.96%, the Conservative Party – 0.77%, the Party of Law and Justice– 0.47%, the Green Alliance– 0.68%, the Labour Union “Patria-Rodina” – 0.35%, the Centrist Union – 0.35%. The independent candidates garnered between 0.11% and 0.77%. None of them can enter the Chisinau Municipal Council as they did not receive the required 1.98% of the poll. According o the data released at 10.30, 7,586 ballot papers have been declared invalid.
