The Democratic Party's candidate for mayor of Chisinau Valentina Buliga was registered as election runner on April 26. The same day, the Chisinau district electoral council registered the PDM's candidates for seats on the Municipal Council, Info-Prim Neo reports. The electoral council's deputy head Cristina Boaghi said that Valentina Buliga is to leave her position of Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family for the period of the campaign. The Chisinau district electoral council Tuesday also registered the candidates for mayor Valeriu Plesca, of the Third Force bloc, Mihai Manoli, of the Democratic People's Party, and Maia Laguta, of Moldova's Patriots Party.
