EFES Vitanta Moldova Brewery Company (EVMB) relased on Tuesday, 11 April, a new beer under the trademark Chisinau – the Chisinau Draft beer. According to producer, Chisinau Draft draught beer has a tasty aroma of fresh beer, is deliciously bitter, with pronounced hops aroma. For those who prefer consuming beer at home or outside, on a picnic, EVMB Company offers Chisinau Draft in a 0.5 liter bottle, characteristic to Chisinau beer. Vitanta also notes that the density of Chisinau Draft beer is of 12 % and has 5% alcohol by volume. EVMB general manager Iacob Tihman, stated that the label design was developed according to general style of the trademark Chisinau, made in distinctive colors of green, white and red, according to which the consumer will be able to identify Draft beer. Tihman also mentioned that EFES Vitanta has 70% of the beer market, and the most popular beer produced by the company is Chisinau blonde beer. He called on all beer fans to consume only local beer, inclusively for the fact that in this way more money will come to the state budget. It is planned to produce 70 million liters of beer this year. The manager underlined that in 2005-2006 the company’s investments in purchasing modern equipment amount to over 20 million dollars, in order to ensure high quality of the product. EVMB is the leader on the beer market of Moldova and produces 3 types of beer Chisinau (blonde, golden and draft), Vitanta Premium, Stary Melnik, Efes and Warsteiner beers. It also holds 44% of the non-alcoholic beverages market with the VIVA trademark.
