EBCS presents socioeconomic development program based on six pillars

The Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists (EBCS) presented the socioeconomic development program of Moldova, which defines the bloc’s priorities for the next four years on six dimensions, namely: industrialization of the economy, development of agriculture, development of local infrastructure, development of medical assistance, narrowing of gaps in the population’s incomes and high-quality education, IPN reports.

In a press briefing, the president of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said the team of the Socialists and the Communists during many years showed that it can cope with all the challenges faced by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. Regrettably, during the past ten years, poverty has expanded, schools have been closed and villages have disappeared. The proposed socioeconomic program can be improved based on proposals formulated by people.

Candidate for MP on the list of the EBCS Petru Burduja presented the economic industrialization strategy, which provides that the state will support the creation and development of large industrial platforms in all the district centers of the country. There will be created a state industrial development fund to finance development projects.

Candidate Oleg Reidman said serious investment is needed in building rural water supply and sewerage systems, local roads and street lighting and they are ready to allocate by 300 million lei for infrastructure immediately after they come to power, while candidate Radu Mudreac said they will develop a new land fund to ban the sale of land to foreigners and will pursue a harsh policy to protect the domestic market.

Alla Darovannaia stated the social protection of the citizens is one of the bloc’s priorities and they aim to increase the salaries in the public sector and the old-age pension during the next two year, while Vladimir Odnostalco noted that their slogan is “Medicine Available to Everyone” and they intend to raise the salaries of health workers by at least 40% initially.

Constantin Starîș promised higher salaries for teachers, free meals for first-ninth graders and Internet connection in all the national schools. He said the EBCS commits itself to revive culture in rural areas by reopening the Houses of Culture and music schools.

The Communist leader Vladimir Voronin stated that all the proposals were formulated based on the real situation in the country and the program can be implemented by a team of professionals like theirs. Moldova is now on the verge of a precipice and it will either keep sovereignty or will disappear from the world map, but this depends on each voter apart.
