Drug for epilepsy withdrawn from sale

The medication “Orfiril Long” is being withdrawn from the pharmaceutical market of Moldova on suspicion that it does not meet the quality requirements. An ordinance to this effect was made by the Agency for Medications and Medical Devices. “Orfiril Long” of 150 mg, 50 capsule, is a drug used to treat epileptic fits, IPN reports.

All the drug stores are obliged to stop selling and delivering the drug and to return it to the producer or to submit it for destruction, in accordance with the law.

The medication is made by the German company Desitin Arzneimittel GmbH.
