From April 1, travelling with the lights of the vehicles on during the day is no longer mandatory, IPN reports.

Under the Road Traffic Regulations, the obligation to travel with the lights on during the daytime applies to the period between November 1 and March 31 inclusive as visibility in this period is low.

The patrolling police say the drivers are more attentive to the vehicles in traffic when their lights are on and the number of road accidents thus decreases.
