Starting with November 1, the motorists are obliged to travel with the lights on during the day as well. Under the Road Traffic Regulations, the vehicles must move with the headlights on during daytime and nighttime until March 31 inclusive

The drivers who will not comply with these provisions face a fine of 60 lei.

Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Diana Fetco has told IPN that the measure is applied in the cold period of the year when the weather is unstable, with rain and fog, and the visibility is poor. Thus, the risk of road accidents is higher.
