The national tennis teams of Hungary and Moldova have the same number of points after the first two matches played in the first qualifying round of the Davis Cup. After Radu Albot won a victory, Andrei Ciumac suffered a defeat, IPN reports.

Andrei Ciumac met Hungary’s best tennis player Marton Fucsovics, who is the 165th in the ATP rankings. The match ended after three sets, 6-0, 6-2, 6-3.

Earlier, Radu Albot beat Gabor Borsos, who ranks the 945th in the world, by 6-3, 6-2, 7-5.

The doubles competition takes place on March 7, while another two singles matches will be played on March 8.

The winner of the duel between Hungary and Moldova will compete in the second round of the Europe/Africa Zone Davis Cup, against Bosnia and Herzegovina or against Zimbabwe.
