Drasliceni village has elected its mayor
The Republican Vasile Ursu has been elected to the mayoralty of Drasliceni village, Criuleni district, in a runoff against Christian-Democrat Valentina Chiperi on Sunday.
Info-Prim Neo learned from the Secretary of the Central Election Commission, Iurie Ciocan, that, based on preliminary results, Ursu garnered 762 votes, while his challenger Valentina Chiperi 565 votes.
Ciocan informed than no complaints have been lodged with the Commission so far, but these may be submitted anytime within the next three days. The outcome of the election is yet to be validated by the court.
CEC announced early elections for mayor of Drasliceni after Andrei Buzu, the mayor elected on June 17, was murdered.
