Dozens of municipal servants might loose their jobs
The employees of the General Architecture and Urbanism Department (DGAU) and Land Department (DF) will be dismissed once these municipal structures are reorganized. Interim mayor Vasile Ursu made this announcement during broadcast at the municipal radio «Antena C» station.
According to Ursu, in a very short time Architecture and Urbanism Department, Urban Control and Land Departments will be reorganized, and the new staff will be selected following the „non-corrupted” principle.
One of the reorganization versions, in Ursu’s opinion, could be the fusion of DF and DGAU, but their elimination out of the mayoralty’s staff chart is not excluded either and their subsequent creation as autonomous structures „in order to be verified easier”.
On the other hand, the interim mayor proposes to abandon the practice of addressing directly to municipal servants, insisting that the obligation to reply to complaints, petitions, appeals etc. to be reinstated to the advisers of the local public administration management. In Ursu’s opinion, in this way the intermediaries will be excluded, who „have full bags” and discuss „tête-à-tête with the servants on the halls and in the courtyard of the mayoralty”, suggesting that this is the mechanism of how corruption works.
At the same time, Ursu insists on organizing a municipal advertisement agency, excluding from this activity a private company. At the mayoralty’s operative meeting, he was disturbed by the fact that the money they could accumulate in the municipal budget “get into the pockets of businessmen and dealers, who jeopardize not only the local budget, but the image of high-ranking servants of the mayoralty as well”. Ursu mentions that the intermediaries of the advertisement transactions do not use money to bribe the local servants, as they claim, but take this money for their own needs. In the context, he referred to a recent case of collecting amounts of 500 lei by several unidentified persons from the maxi-taxi drivers for facilitating overhauling, fact confirmed as well by the head of the public transport and communications department, Veaceslav Tsarna.
Previously, Vasile Ursu requested from the Staff Service to draft as soon as possible a job card for every mayoralty’s employee, which would include one’s obligations and duties. Ursu underlined that he needs an efficient staff, which would deal only with public matters, and not „their own business” or other private activities.
